Christina Haack and Josh Hall’s divorce is officially finalized, and he’s learned some key takeaways from their marriage.
After a California judge granted the dissolution of marriage for the former couple, the real estate entrepreneur shared a scathing message about what he says he learned from his relationship with the HGTV star, 42.
“Excited to spend Labor Day weekend in the real reality,” Hall captioned a Thursday, Aug. 28 Instagram post, adding, “Finally, legally divorced and a free man.”

His upload featured a single photo of him spending time outdoors, petting a saddled horse.
Hall continued, “I’ve always worked hard, kept what’s mine, and declined hand outs, and I’m keeping it that way.”
He then shared what he claimed to be his biggest takeaway from his split with Haack.
“Lesson learned: don’t marry someone who needs constant public validation and will use your personal drama for attention,” Hall concluded.
The former couple married in 2021, and he filed for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences” in July 2024.
During their relationship, he appeared on her HGTV spinoff, Christina in the Country, which documented their life and renovation business in Tennessee. Hall was also Haack’s renovation partner on the network’s The Flip Off, which premiered in January 2025. However, they broke up in the early days of filming, and he exited the series.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE on Thursday, there will be no spousal support paid to Haack or Hall.
Haack will keep her Newport Beach mansion, which serves as her primary residence with her kids, as well as the Tennessee farmhouse where she filmed Christina in the Country — the home where Hall was legally allowed to stay for a time after their split.
Haack shares daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden El Moussa, 10, with her first husband Tarek El Moussa. She is also a mom to son Hudson London Anstead, 5, whom she shares with her second husband, Ant Anstead.

Haack and Hall did not have any kids together.
Among the automobiles he will keep in the split are a 2021 Bentley Flying Spur V8, a 1982 DeLorean and a Honda CRF motorcycle.
While Haack did not publicly respond to Hall’s social media post on Thursday, she previously claimed, “He asked for $3.5 million from me” during a February episode of The Flip Off.

She also issued a statement regarding her highly publicized split in May.
“Christina is pleased to confirm that a settlement has been reached through mediation,” a representative for Haack told PEOPLE. “She extends her sincere appreciation to her attorney, Laura Wasser, and her team for their professional guidance and support throughout the process.”
PEOPLE reached out to Haack’s reps for comment.
Haack is now in a relationship with Christopher Larocca, while Hall is dating Stephanie Gabrys.
