NEED TO KNOW
Kylie Kelce’s not gonna lie when it comes to her husband Jason Kelce’s look.
In the Aug. 28 episode of her podcast, the mom of four shared her honest opinion on the former footballer’s beard transformation.
“What I will say is that I think he looks fine as hell with his dyed hair,” Kylie, 33, began, “but I am very excited for the silver fox to return because I think he just looks like a distinguished fine ass gentleman.”
The retired Philadelphia Eagles star, 37, debuted his changed appearance on a teaser clip of his and brother Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast episode featuring Taylor Swift. Jason hadn’t addressed his appearance in the clip or the episode, but he did write on X: “I promise the dye was for a good reason, don’t hate me” after gray-bearded former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick wrote he felt “betrayed.”
However, Jason took the Aug. 27 New Heights episode as an opportunity to finally share the backstory behind his surprising dye job — while his younger brother took it as an opportunity to roast him in jest.
Turns out, Jason dyed his beard for a “bit” he was planning for his beverage brand Garage Beer that would make him appear “younger.”
“Initially, I was going to shave my beard completely, and then I was like, ‘Yeah I’m not doing that, I hate my face too much. So, I’m gonna keep the beard but I’ll dye it to make me look younger.’ But we didn’t play chemistry very well and I ended up coming out a little darker than I was expecting.”
He further clarified that he didn’t dye his beard “out of vanity” and that, like Kylie, he misses his grays. “It is kind of growing on me, though,” he said of his brunette facial hair.
“It’s okay to be a little insecure about your grays,” Travis teased.

This isn’t the first time Kylie’s been in defense of her man’s style choices. In her February interview on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, she reacted to Jason’s year-round habit of wearing flip-flops.
“I’m so used to them, it doesn’t even faze me. I do think it’s funny that there’s a population of women that are like, that’s the most appalling thing I’ve ever seen. I’m out here like really, that’s what a turn-off is,” she admitted. “I’m like I’ve seen worse toes, I’m okay with it. I live with those toes, I sleep next to those toes, why would I be disturbed with this?”
