NEED TO KNOW
Travis Kelce was enchanted with his new fiancée Taylor Swift during her recent appearance on New Heights!
On the Wednesday, Aug. 27 episode of his podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end looked back on his and brother Jason’s “interview” with the superstar — and said he missed the assignment.
“Jason, you crushed it,” Travis, 35, told his brother. “I was over here just, I was so wrapped in what Tay was saying that I forgot we were trying to interview her. Because it’s hard to interview someone that you love, you’re just kind of like there to make sure they’re enjoying themselves.”
He added, “And the entire time, Jason’s over here playing Barbara Walters.”
But with his older brother handling the tough questions, Travis was able to take in and appreciate what turned out to be the concurrently most-watched YouTube podcast of all time.
“She came off just as genuine as she really is, man,” Travis said. “And it was cool to see the world react to it, knowing that they hadn’t seen her in that kind of light before.”
The brothers’ new podcast comes one day after Kelce and Swift announced their engagement with a carousel of images posted to Instagram.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift, 35, wrote in the caption.
Travis’ father, Ed, revealed more details about the proposal in an interview with the family’s hometown Cleveland news station.
“They were going out to dinner and she was ready to go and he said, ‘Let’s go out in the garden on the patio and have a glass of wine before we go,’ ” Ed told News 5’s John Kosich. “I think she knew something was up because as they walked out there, she could see, suddenly, there were a lot more flowers out there.”
Ed added that he’s “never seen him quite so happy.”
“I think it’s wonderful,” Ed continued. “These are two young people madly in love with each other and I think this is great.”
On the podcast Wednesday, the newly engaged NFL star was flummoxed, looking back at the moment Tay broke the Internet, and seemingly realizing her universal appeal.
“I got nothin’,” he bashfully told Jason. “That’s why I love her.”
