NEED TO KNOW
Jason Kelce is on the hunt.
The 37-year-old older brother of Travis Kelce is “knee-deep” in Swiftie culture, trying to decipher Easter egg clues from Taylor Swift’s Aug. 13 episode of his New Heights podcast.
The “So High School” singer, who announced her engagement to Travis on Tuesday, Aug. 26, is notorious for delivering her Easter eggs to her loyal fans in her appearances and posts. And, of course, her two-hour podcast appearance was rife with potential clues.
“I’m knee-deep right now in the Swiftie Easter egg hunting,” Jason told Travis on the Wednesday, Aug. 27 episode of New Heights.
“Are you?” Travis coyly asked his brother.
“Yes. You know I am because I keep sending you and Tay stuff I keep reading,” Jason told his brother about the theories surrounding Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. “I know you guys don’t want to read it, but I’m freaking gonna make you guys read it because I’m interested. You guys aren’t giving me f—ing anything, which is pissing me off even more.”

Travis laughed at his brother, saying of his now-fiancée, “She’s good at keeping the Easter eggs.”
The retired NFL star didn’t fault the couple for keeping him out of the loop, saying, “I’m a very untrustworthy person, I get it. And I wouldn’t trust me either. I can’t keep a secret to save my life. I get excited.”
While Travis wasn’t spilling the beans, he did share that his longtime love was thrilled by the lengthy episode in which she revealed details on her upcoming 12th studio album.
“She walked away, like, flying around,” Travis said of the Grammy winner. “She was having so much fun getting to tell everybody about the album and obviously drop a few Easter eggs and see if everyone caught on.”
Jason quickly picked up on Travis’ comment, before asking about a much-speculated about decoration in the background of Travis’ shot during the podcast.

“What’s that Pinocchio doing behind you?” Jason asked his brother of the small Pinocchio figurine behind him. “What’s his cause? Is it still there?”
Travis said the figure was still behind him, maintaining his innocence when Jason asked, “What does it represent?”
“Aren’t they Disney movies?” Travis asked. “Disney characters?”
Fans thought the mysterious figurine might be a clue that Swift had lied about a detail related to her album, which is set to be released on Oct. 3.
And while Travis wasn’t spilling the details on any Easter eggs, he did share his personal feelings about the new album.
“I’m gonna go ahead and just keep poking the bear to all the Swifties,” he teased. “I keep listening to this album. I know she mentioned that it’s gonna be a lot more pop beats, but it’s just still so poetic in her melodies and her references and stuff. It’s just so much fun to listen to, man. I’ve been dancing throughout the house.”
As for Travis’ favorite song?
“I think ‘Opalite’ might be my favorite though, at least right now, I always catch myself,” he shared.
While the episode was recorded prior to Travis and Swift sharing their engagement news, Jason recorded a special congratulations announcement during the latest podcast’s intro.
“Gigantic piece of New News that just hit the waves,” Jason shared. “We did record this podcast on Monday, which was Travis’ one day off. So, he is not here to address this himself, but we felt necessary as a team here at New Heights to get together and send Travis and Taylor a giant congratulations for being engaged! The proposal heard ‘round the world.”
The couple announced their engagement on Aug. 26 on Instagram, posting proposal pics.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨” Swift captioned the post.
