Police are pressing forward in their search for Emmanuel Haro.
Days after the missing 7-month-old’s parents Rebecca Haro and Jake Haro were arrested on a murder charge in connection with his disappearance, Jake was assisting with the search alongside authorities in a remote field in Moreno Valley, California.
On Aug. 24, the infant’s father, donning an orange prison jumpsuit, was seen in news footage with deputies in the area, approximately 20 miles from where Rebecca claimed that Emmanuel—who is presumed dead—was taken from her.
“This afternoon, a search for Emmanuel Haro was conducted along the westbound shoulder of the 60 Freeway, near Gilman Springs Road, in Moreno Valley,” the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, which has been leading the investigation, shared on Instagram. “Investigators were assisted by cadaver dogs. Jake Haro was at the location with detectives.”
Although officials confirmed that Emmanuel was not located following the search, the department reasserted their dedication to the case, concluding, “The investigation to find Emmanuel continues.”
