NEED TO KNOW
Gavin Adcock recently took aim at Zach Bryan.
In the Wednesday, Aug. 20 episode of Rolling Stone’s Nashville Now podcast, the “Last One to Know” singer didn’t hold back about his thoughts on the “I Remember Everything” musician.
In July, Adcock, 26, appeared to call out Bryan on X for the way he reacted to a 14-year-old fan on social media, writing: “If you can’t handle the criticism of a 14 year old why do people idolize you? That kid was head over heels to meet you and spent/ parents spent a ton of money to see you. He’s got feeling too and a you’re a ‘grown man’ nearly 30. They’re the only reason you are around.”
Per Whiskey Riff, the “Something in the Orange” performer, 29, had written in a now-deleted post, “You’re not entitled after someone plays two and a half hours to a picture or a hello,” the “Something in the Orange” performer wrote at the time, adding the acronym “GOMD.”

Adcock addressed his comments toward Bryan on the Nashville Now podcast.
“It wasn’t about not wanting to sign autographs after a show, it’s like letting a 14-year-old kid rant, without saying, ‘Get off my d—.’ You’re bigger than that,” he said.
Adcock then claimed he believes Bryan has a public persona that differs from who he is privately.
“I think that Zach Bryan puts on a big mask in his day-to-day life and sometimes he can’t help but rip it off and show his true colors,” he said. “I don’t know if Zach Bryan’s really that great of a person.”
A rep for Bryan declined to comment to PEOPLE.
Earlier this year, Adcock made controversial statements about artists, including Beyoncé and Charley Crockett.
In June, he said that Beyoncé’s 2024 album Cowboy Carter, which earned a Grammy for Best Country Album, “ain’t country music,” per Variety.
Queen Bey, 43, previously revealed that Cowboy Carter surfaced because she did “not feel welcomed” by the country music business.
“It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed… and it was very clear that I wasn’t,” she said in a March 2024 Instagram post. “But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of country music and studied our rich musical archive.”

On Tuesday, Aug. 19, Crockett, 41, shared a lengthy Instagram post that appeared to be directed at Adcock, defending Beyoncé.
“Hey country folks. @beyonce ain’t the source of your discontent. It was 25 years of bro country,” he wrote on social media.
On Wednesday, Aug. 20, Adcock appeared to respond to Crockett on X, writing: “Somebody needs to tell the ‘act’ that has let out (the cover) of James town ferry 6 times he should just work on letting out quality original music.”
He continued: “I got more cows— under my pinky then you have seen your whole f—ing life. Hank sr called and asked about the cosplay cowboy.”
