Who Is Luke Combs’ Wife? All About Nicole Combs

Luke and Nicole Combs (née Hocking) share a “beautiful, crazy” kind of love.

The couple first crossed paths at a music festival in 2016 — well before Luke became the country superstar that fans know today. “I could tell she was different than anybody I had ever met,” the singer told Nashville Lifestyles in February 2021 of meeting his now-wife.

Nicole added, “I realized we could hang out and just be ourselves in front of each other. I could wear no makeup and be my weird self — because we’re all weird, but we get to choose who to share that side of us with.”

That special connection inspired Luke’s 2018 hit single “Beautiful Crazy,” which went on to win Song of the Year at the 2019 CMA Awards.

Luke and Nicole got married in August 2020. Today, they’re the proud parents of two sons, Tex and Beau.

So who is Luke Combs’ wife? Here’s everything to know about Nicole Combs and her relationship with the country singer.

Nicole is from Florida

Nicole was born on July 21, 1992, and was raised in Florida. She was named after the actress Nicole Kidman, her husband Keith Urban told CMT in October 2024.

In 2010, Nicole was recruited to swim for Florida Gulf Coast University. She swam in college and was a member of the Kappa Delta chapter on campus.

Nicole studied civil engineering before switching to music, she said in a May 2019 episode of the Get Real With Caroline Hobby podcast. She graduated in December 2014 and moved to Nashville the following year to pursue her dreams of working in music.

She worked in music

Once in Nashville, Nicole landed a job with Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), where she worked as a recruiting and onboarding coordinator for the licensing teams.

“I ended up loving it there. I loved interviewing [prospective employees]. It was fun,” she recalled on Get Real with Caroline Hobby.

Nowadays, Nicole supports her husband full-time on the road, she said on Get Real. She’s also supported numerous nonprofits, including the Ronald McDonald House and Wreaths Across America.

She and Luke met at a music festival in 2016 

Luke and Nicole first crossed paths in 2016 at the 30A Songwriters Festival in Florida. She was working at the event for BMI, while Luke was one of the performers.

“We were both single. I was leaving a songwriter’s round, and he was walking up late to it. I was just like, ‘Hey, come hang out with us. Why are you by yourself?’ ” Nicole recalled on the Couple Things With Shawn & Andrew podcast in May 2020.

“I was wearing camo gym shorts from Walmart,” Luke added. “Classy, classy stuff … and like the oldest T-shirt that I owned.”

Once they were both back in Nashville, the couple started dating.

They got married in 2020 

Luke and Nicole announced their engagement in November 2018 and got married two years later on Aug. 1, 2020. The pair’s intimate wedding took place at their home in southern Florida.

In August 2025, Luke marked their wedding anniversary with a sweet post on Instagram, writing, “Can’t believe we’ve been married for 5 years!!! I love you more every single day and I’m so blessed to get to live this crazy life with you!”

She and Luke share two sons 

Luke and Nicole welcomed their first son, Tex Lawrence Combs, on June 19, 2022.

Their second son, Beau Lee Combs, was born on Aug. 15, 2023. He arrived over two weeks early while Luke was on tour in Australia.

“God, it was a hard day,” the “Fast Car” singer told Zane Lowe in June 2024 of missing his son’s birth. “It’s a defining moment in my life for sure. It sums up, in a lot of ways, some of the bad parts of the music business.”

Since then, Luke has scaled back on his tour dates to spend more time at home.

“I want my kids to know that my job is not more important than they are,” he told PEOPLE in April 2025.

In August 2025, Nicole celebrated Beau’s birthday with a post on her Instagram Stories.

“Happy 2nd Birthday to our sweet baby Beau!!” she wrote, per Z100. “A true second born. An absolute menace. The sweetest snuggles. Big Trash Truck lover. The best dancer. An absolute bruiser. Tex’s best friend. We love you and your hilarious personality more and more each day. Thankful I get to be your mom!! 🥹🤍.”

Luke has written music about her

Luke crafted a romantic trilogy of songs inspired by his wife. The first song in the series, “Beautiful Crazy,” was released in December 2018.

“I wrote that song about my wife before we were even dating [and it ended up being] the first dance at our wedding,” he said on The Artist and The Athlete With Lindsay Czarniak podcast in March 2021. “There’s no way that any other song will top that as far as sentimental value for me.”

After “Beautiful Crazy,” Luke released two more tracks about Nicole — “Better Together” and “Forever After All,” the latter of which has a music video featuring footage from the couple’s wedding day.

“I feel like that’s kind of our total story up to this point, in a way,” Luke told ABC News in January 2021 of the trilogy. “I just wanted her to know, I’m always thinking about her, and there’s always inspiration there.”
