NEED TO KNOW
JaNa Craig was definitely having some issues with Kenny Rodriguez in the lead-up to their split.
In last week’s episode of Love Island: Beyond the Villa, JaNa and Kenny went out to dinner in L.A. to celebrate their nine-month anniversary, but things went downhill when the topic of living together, something they disagreed on, came up.
After Kenny told JaNa that he’d confided in Miguel Harichi about their living situation, and incorrectly described it as if both he and JaNa were okay with living separately, things got testy. “I voiced to him [that] I want separation from you,” he told his girlfriend.
On this week’s episode, the fallout from their awkward anniversary date continued as JaNa filled PPG in.
During an outing with her besties Leah Kateb and Serena Page, JaNa described how she felt when the date went downhill.
“He just gave me straight eye contact, like he just locked in. It looked like he was giving me serial killer vibes,” JaNa said. “When he shuts down, he just like, was locked in on me.”

“He was just staring and not talking? That’s so awkward,” Leah said, and Serena agreed. “I would have to go home.”
The next night, Kenny came over and apologized, JaNa told them. “I took the wrong approach by being silent, so I apologize,” he told her.
After the date, Kenny confided in Miguel again.
“I was just not feeling it that night,” he said. “What happened was, we’re at dinner, and then I misspoke. I said, ‘Oh yeah, I told Miguel, we wanted to live separate.'”
“And in hindsight, she really wanted to live together. The whole time it was me that was being a bit hesitant,” he admitted. “She made it clear, no, that’s not [true]. Then I kinda just froze, the whole night.”
Kenny told Miguel that the reason why he stayed silent instead of continuing the conversation was that he didn’t want to have an “argument” over their living situation again.
The fallout from their date was related to a central disagreement between them about their living arrangements.
While JaNa was hoping that two months in L.A. to film the spinoff series would help Kenny feel comfortable moving in with her, he doesn’t seem convinced.
With his lease in Dallas ending soon, Kenny told Miguel that they were having conversations about what’s next for him, but in his mind, JaNa is “stuck” on continuing to live in Las Vegas.

The question of marriage also came up during PPG’s outing. After both Leah and Serena said they would confidently marry their current boyfriends, Miguel and Kordell Beckham, JaNa was put on the spot.
When Serena asked for Kenny’s marriage timeline, JaNa told her, “He doesn’t have one.”
“That definitely is some s— that you have to figure out,” Serena said.
“I want to get married as soon as yesterday, but I want to go about things the right way,” she said in a confessional. “I wanna make sure that my partner and I always feel comfortable and it’s more of an exciting thing rather than something we just wanna drag along.”
A source confirmed to PEOPLE that JaNa and Kenny had split in July.
“There was no big, public blowout,” the source said.
Speculation was rampant that the former couple got into a fight at David Dobrik’s birthday party on Saturday, July 26, the night before they broke up, but the source said, “That did not happen.”
Craig, 28, broke up with Rodriguez, 25, the following morning. Per the source, “They will not be getting back together.”
