Sylvester Stallone is celebrating his wife Jennifer Flavin on her birthday.
On Thursday, Aug. 14, Stallone, 79, shared three throwback photos of himself and Flavin — as well as a recent snapshot of the pair wearing silly-looking sunglasses as Flavin makes a “peace” sign with her fingers — to Instagram as he marked her 57th birthday.
“Happy birthday to my amazing wife @jenniferflavinstallone ❤️ myself and my daughters thank you for making such a beautiful life for us!!” he wrote in a caption.
The pair first met by chance at a restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif., back in 1988. Stallone and Flavin broke up for a period of time in the 1990s after he revealed that he had an affair with model Janice Dickinson, but the pair rekindled their relationship one year later and married on May 17, 1997, as PEOPLE reported at the time. Their relationship hit another public rough patch in August 2022, when Flavin filed for divorce from Stallone, but they reconciled one month later.

The couple share three daughters — Sophia, 28, Sistine, 27, and Scarlet, 23.
The Stallone daughters took to their respective Instagram accounts to wish their mother a happy birthday on Aug. 14, too. Sistine shared two photos of herself and Flavin to her Instagram Stories on Aug. 14 to wish her mother happy birthday. “Happy birthday mom!!! ❤️ I love love love u ❤️,” she wrote alongside one photo; she also wrote that Flavin is “the best mom in the whole world” next to two throwback photos from her childhood. Sophia, meanwhile, wrote, “Happiest of birthdays to my beautiful mom ❤️,” on her own Instagram Stories.

Scarlet shared a photo of herself hugging her mom on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “I am so lucky to have such a strong, loving mom, my biggest inspiration and someone I’ll always look up to 💘 🌞,”
Flavin paid her husband his own birthday wishes back on July 6, when the Rocky icon marked his 79th birthday. “Happy Birthday my love!!!🎉🎂🍰❤️❤️❤️ Every year is a blessing that we get to celebrate you and our beautiful family we created!” Flavin wrote on Instagram at that time. “I love you!❤️❤️❤️”
Stallone, Flavin and their three daughters appeared together in a reality television series titled The Family Stallone that ran for two seasons on Paramount+ in 2023 and 2024. Most recently, Sylvester appeared in the second season of his series Tulsa King in 2024 and starred in the spy movie Alarum this year.
