NEED TO KNOW
The Jonas Brothers took a trip down memory lane as they kicked off their 20th anniversary tour.
On Sunday, Aug. 10, Kevin, 37, Joe, 35, and Nick, 32, had a huge surprise for fans as they performed the first of their JONAS20 shows at MetLife Stadium in their home state of New Jersey with a very special guest.
The trio reflected on their 2008 hit Disney movie, Camp Rock, with Joe — who played pop star Shane Gray in the film — belting out the song “Gotta Find You” before he introduced his former costar Demi Lovato, 32, who played Mitchie Torres, to the stage.
The pair, who played onscreen love interests as well as having a short-lived relationship in real life in 2010, sang the movie’s hits, “This Is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” together.
After singing “This Is Me,” which the duo performs together toward the end of the Disney flick, Joe — who added lines from “Gotta Find You” into the song — told the crowd they hadn’t performed the track for “almost 10 years,” as Lovato insisted it “might have been longer.”
Kevin and Nick also starred in the movie as fellow Connect Three band members Jason and Nate, respectively, and the latter reflected on the audition process while introducing the tribute during the gig.

He recalled of bosses initially wanting Joe to star in the flick, “Joe got the job, and then somehow our dad figured it out to get me and Kevin to be involved in the movie too,” adding, “I think it’s time that we all walk down this memory lane to celebrate a little movie called Camp Rock.”
Lovato’s husband, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, 34, was among those sharing snippets from the much-talked-about reunion on social media on Sunday.
The singer shared a clip on his Instagram Stories showing his other half walking onto the stage to huge applause, writing, “Couldn’t be more proud … I love u sooo much baby,” while tagging Demi in the post.
Joe and Demi also posted their excitement over the reunion, with the pair lip syncing to “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” in an Instagram video, as well as lip syncing to fellow Disney star Debby Ryan’s iconic “Sat Down with the President of Disney Channel” speech in another clip.
Demi captioned the post, “For the history books @joejonas.”
The surprises didn’t end there, as the brothers were later joined on stage by their parents Kevin Jonas Sr. and Denise Jonas, and younger brother Frankie, 24, as well as Kevin’s wife, Danielle Jonas, and the couple’s daughters Valentina, 8, and Alena, 11, as they sang the band’s 2007 track “When You Look Me in the Eyes.”
The brothers recently discussed the 20th anniversary shows during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday, Aug. 7.
“There’s so much music to play,” Kevin said. “The setlist is hard to build, right? But at the same time it’s so fun because we do get to take breaks and admire each other’s work at the same time.”
Joe jokingly added, “And pee breaks mostly.”

Reflecting on the band’s 20-year anniversary, Nick said that “it’s hard to believe” — and “in a lot of ways, it feels like it flew by.” When they were putting the show together, it felt “basically impossible to summarize a 20-year journey with music.”
“What we feel we’ve come to is something that really represents the journey we’ve been on and the songs that are relevant to us and those steps in our career in different moments,” the “Close” singer continued. “We’ve got some amazing special guests lined up and I just can’t wait.”
The tour comes after the release of the Jonas Brothers’ latest studio album, Greetings from Your Hometown.
