NEED TO KNOW
Luke Bryan uptown funked something up.
In an Instagram video shared on Friday, Aug. 1, of the “Country Girl” singer dancing that has since gone viral, Bryan, 49, attempted to bust a move while playing the guitar and covering Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.”
He ultimately suffered an NSFW injury during the Riverbend Music Center show in Cincinnati, Ohio, and told the crowd exactly what happened.
The country star shuffled back and forth and moonwalked while singing the prechorus. He then shook his butt while turning around in a circle. At one point, he called out for the music to stop, seemingly out of breath.

Bryan gestured for the band to start again, this time with “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson, and then stopped them again. “S—, I’m tired,” Bryan told the audience. “I’m sure all of that will go viral in the morning.”
After a brief pause, the “One Margarita” singer admitted, “I think I pulled my left nut sack.” The audience roared with laughter and cheers.
Fans were humored by Bryan’s confession. “No one has more fun at a Luke Bryan concert, than Luke Bryan,” one person wrote. “You can always depend on him with the moves 😂,” another chimed in.
“Saw him in Vegas and seriously so entertaining! Comedy and concert rolled into one. Had everyone laughing the whole time and dancing the whole time❤️,” a third wrote of his performance chops.
Added another: “He’s having a blast. He loves what he does and by the size of his crowds people love him too. Let everyone have a good time. Who cares if he’s traditional county or not. 🤷🏼♀️.”
Less than two weeks prior, Bryan was hit in the face with an object during his performance at the North Dakota State Fair.
While performing his set’s encore singing “Country Girl (Shake it for Me),” what appeared to be a plush ball was thrown at him, according to a viral TikTok. He stopped performing for a moment before finishing the 2011 song without issue.

Following the incident, Bryan told Taste of Country about what was going through his mind in the moment. “I mean, if I saw him throw it, I could have gone right to him,” Bryan said. “I probably would have jumped right off in there.”
“At that point, if I’d even stopped it and pointed somebody out, it kills the vibe of the show,” added the singer, who is currently on his A Country Song Came On tour.
