NEED TO KNOW
Harry Jowsey is ready to put himself out there.
The reality star is taking yet another leap as he gets back in front of the cameras, and while he’s once again going to be searching for love, this time, it’s totally different.
He’s teamed up with Alex Cooper to find a wife in Netflix’s new series, Let’s Marry Harry. Per the logline, the series will see Jowsey’s “closest confidants” get involved in his love life as they make the calls about who stays and who goes — and who Harry might marry.

The whole purpose of the series feels more meaningful than ever, given Jowsey’s recent loss.
The Perfect Match star lost his father in December, and he exclusively tells PEOPLE how “going through the most traumatic” event of his life has influenced his approach to the show.
“Losing my father and then seeing all my sisters and their families and their husbands and how amazing that felt, I think those two coupled up together, it’s kind of the perfect recipe for me to be ready to fall in love,” Jowsey, 28, says at Netflix’s Summer Break event at Santa Monica Pier on July 17. “So I’m really excited and really optimistic that it’s time.”
He says that, along with what he learned from his time with his family and his grief, he’s also going to tap into how he approached his first-ever reality TV show gig.
“When I did Too Hot To Handle, the best thing about that was just how naive I was, and I didn’t know what was going on. It was fun and it was easy, it was great. I think I’m gonna take a lot of that into it,” he explains.

The prospect of finding love — and getting married — without his dad there to see it, though, is an emotional one.
“I’m gonna be honest, I’ve already cried, over the weekend, just thinking about it,” admits Jowsey, who was last dating actress Lucy Hale, as confirmed by PEOPLE in March.
“Cause there’s a lot of things that I did with my dad, like footage and notes and stuff that I got before he passed, about love and about, I don’t know, just stuff for my kids and stuff like that,” he shares.
He continues, “I was already emotional because I was like, wow, this is the greatest feeling and the greatest achievement, but to do it with my family and people I love, it just makes me so emotional.”
He also says that having his loved ones involved in the process of choosing his partner is going to be a good thing.
“I don’t know if I’m good at picking my relationships. I think I’ve always found myself in a little bit of trouble, that’s probably mostly my fault,” he admits. “But this new show — Alex Cooper is leading this horse to water. She’s gonna be the one that’s gonna pick all the people and I think it’s my best shot at love.”
He continues, “To have all the people I care about and love in my life make this happen, I think we’ve got a good shot, cause if I’m doing it — I’m not really good at this stuff.”
“It’s not, like, a hookup show, it’s not anything silly — I’m so serious, and I have to be, or else Alex Cooper might yell at me and I don’t want to lose my job,” he jokingly adds.
