Adam Sandler has nothing but praise for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Sandler, 58, and his Happy Gilmore 2 costar Julie Bowen weighed in on Kelce’s buzzworthy cameo in the new sequel.
“Travis is such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell,” Sandler said. “He’s like the guys I grew up with. When I was with Travis, it reminded me of my buddies in high school and just being able to laugh and say the things you want to say.”

Reiterating that Kelce, 35, is “a stud,” Sandler added that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is “a great actor and a great human.”
Asked about the many celebrity cameos in Happy Gilmore 2 — including Kelce, Bad Bunny, Scott Mescudi and several professional golfers — Bowen, 55, quipped that “everybody wanted to be in it.” Booking such famous faces in the sequel wasn’t “too difficult,” added Sandler.

As for Kelce’s girlfriend Swift, 35, the Uncut Gems star confirmed that his daughters Sadie and Sunny (who also appear in the new film) have met the singer-songwriter. During her Eras Tour Film’s Los Angeles premiere in 2023, Swift greeted Sandler and both his kids with a hug.
“Taylor is incredible,” the Billy Madison star told ET. “Taylor is so damn nice to my family and has always been. My kids have met Taylor a bunch of times over the years, and she’s ridiculously nice to them and warm.”

Back in February 2024, Sander admitted on an episode of SiriusXM’s Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast that he can “get a little jumpy” around Swift. “Just cause I don’t wanna blow it for my kids… I don’t stay as cool as I can.”
Happy Gilmore 2, costarring Christopher McDonald, Ben Stiller, Dennis Dugan and more, is on Netflix July 25.
