Miranda Lambert carried the memory of a bandmate’s loved one on stage for a recent show.
The “Vice” singer, 41, opened for Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem Tour at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Friday, July 11 and wore an accessory that originally belonged to her bandmate Gwen Sebastian’s late father, Gerald.
“My friend and background vocalist @gwensebastian recently lost her dad,” wrote Lambert in a post shared to Instagram on Sunday, July 13. “Last night I forgot my belt, and she told me that she had just happened to pack an extra…it was her father’s and had his name on it.”

“What an an honor to wear that last night in Miami,” she continued in the caption, shared alongside photos from the evening — including the brown leather belt, featuring a large buckle and his name “Gerald” embossed into the back. “Love you Gwennie!!”
Sebastian, 51, commented underneath the post, “He was up there pickin and singing along. Love you my friend.”
According to an obituary, Gerald died at age 76 on February 25, 2025. “A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Gerald was a pillar of his community, cherished for his deep faith, strong family bonds, and his vibrant, adventurous spirit,” read the text.

The “Mama’s Broken Heart” artist recently announced she and her nonprofit MuttNation are helping the pet community and pet owners amid the deadly flooding in Texas.
On Saturday, July 5, she posted on Instagram and wrote, “Just wanted to jump on here and say how devastated we are to hear about the floods in south and central Texas. I can’t even come up with any words for the loss that everybody’s suffering.”
“MuttNation Foundation is working really closely with Kerrville Pets Alive as we speak to try to get more info and figure out where the needs are to support the pet community and pet owners in the disaster. We will have more info as it goes, but I’ll post everything that I know to post right now,” continued Lambert.
“So y’all join with us and try to help out as much as you can and keep sending prayers and I’ll keep you posted,” concluded Lambert.
