Janelle Brown is making her feelings clear.
In the fourth and final installment of the Sister Wives reunion special, Janelle spoke with host Sukanya Krishnan about speculation surrounding her sexuality in the wake of her 2022 split from ex Kody Brown.
“Everybody has this idea just because I didn’t want to have assembly line kisses with Kody or whatever, that I was asexual,” Janelle, 56, said of her plural marriage. “I promise you. I’m not asexual. I promise you.”
Janelle, who shares six kids with Kody, added, “The hormones are hell when you’re single, but you know, it’s like you just deal with it or whatever.”

And while Janelle has been vocal about her lack of interest when it comes to remarrying, the polygamist noted that she’s not entirely closed off to the idea.
“I suspect that someday down the road, if there’s somebody else, then that will be part of it,” she said.
The TLC star said it’s “so wild” that people have assumed she’s asexual due to her disinterest in looking for love after her split.
“Just trust that I am not,” Janelle said. “I’m a very sexual being, a very earthed Mama. I’m a Taurus, and I’m a very earthed Mama.”

Janelle stepped away from her 29-year spiritual marriage to Kody in 2022 and the pair have been estranged ever since. Christine Brown and Meri Brown also split from the former polygamist, whose only remaining relationship is with wife Robyn Brown.
In an April episode of Sister Wives, Janelle admitted she has “never really thought about a spiritual divorce” from Kody.
“It didn’t even occur to me because [I’m] really not part of that church anymore. And then when Meri got one, I’m like, huh,” Janelle continued, referring to Meri’s decision to terminate her three-decade marriage to Kody.
She later added, “I don’t have to live plural marriage again. I don’t know if I’ll ever even marry again. But I’ve kept my faith. All of it’s intact except for that whole plural marriage thing. I don’t know about that.”
Christine, for her part, never officially left her spiritual marriage from Kody, later remarrying David Woolley in October 2023.
“I didn’t feel the need to get a spiritual divorce,” Christine noted in the same April episode. “I was at a different spot spiritually. I believe in God and he was great with me leaving. So the conversation with him was good enough for me.”
