Brit Eady is clearing up concerns around the graphic images Kenya Moore showed on season 16 of Real Housewives of Atlanta, claiming that the photos were not of her.
During Moore’s hair spa opening last June, she displayed explicit images blown up on a poster board of a woman performing oral sex. It was presumed that the photos were of Eady, who Moore was feuding with at the time. Moore was ultimately suspended before she exited the series following an internal investigation. Sources told PEOPLE on Thursday, June 5, that Moore, 54, was “not invited” to attend the reunion taping. Eady, 37, also skipped the reunion.
Eady addressed her decision not to attend the reunion on her Instagram Stories Thursday, and alleged that the photos Moore shared a year ago weren’t of her to begin with.
“The events of this season have devastated me, and while I cannot say much right now, I do want to set the record straight about one thing: the graphic sexual photo surrounding the events in Episode 5. That photo was not me,” Eady began.
“As the episode makes clear, I did not see the photo at the time,” she continued. “Rather, I was made aware of the photo being presented at the event, and based on what l was told, assumed that it was somehow a photo of me – which is why I reacted in the way that I did.”
During the episode, Eady showed up at Moore’s opening with flowers to apologize for a previous heated exchange. Moore refused to accept her apology, and Eady left the event just moments before the explicit photos were displayed.
“I do not know who was in that photo, but upon seeing it for the first time recently, I now know it was not me,” Eady continued on Thursday. “I look forward to seeking accountability and moving past this dark part of my life.”

Before Moore’s suspension, she was the longest-running RHOA star. A source told PEOPLE on June 25, 2024, that Moore was retaliating against Eady after Eady allegedly threatened Moore with a gun during an explosive confrontation caught on camera. “Kenya was concerned for her safety, that is the truth,” the insider said. “Never for one second did Kenya feel like she was being taken seriously for her fears. It’s unfair.”
But a second insider close to the show insisted that “at no time was Kenya ever threatened with a weapon, nor was there ever a weapon present during the course of production.”

Eventually, audiences watched the pair’s conflict unfold, where Eady, in fact, was shown boasting about having a “pistol” for Moore. Eady has since apologized, claiming her comments were a mistake made in the heat of the moment, and that she “never had a gun in my possession at all.”
Moore also apologized during a November 2024 appearance on Tamron Hall. She said how “sorry” she was for what she’d done, adding that, “I didn’t have to take it that far.”
