NEED TO KNOW
Benson Boone can pull off his signature move in any setting!
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, June 4, the “Beautiful Things” singer, 22, was speaking about his upcoming American Heart Tour, when Fallon, 50, questioned whether he’d be doing any backflips on it. The host said he worried about Boone’s safety “flipping over everything.”
Insisting he doesn’t plan or practice his flips, Boone said, “I’ve been doing them forever.”
“Like, if you knew me growing up and you saw a video of me now and you hadn’t seen anything else — if you went to preschool with me and then you just had not heard the name Benson Boone since then — and then you see a video of me doing a backflip, [you’d] probably be like, ‘He’s still doing this?’” the musician added, before Fallon questioned whether he could do a backflip “right now.”
Boone obliged, jumping off the host’s desk as the audience cheered.
That wasn’t the only time the hitmaker spoke about his backflips during his time on the show, as Fallon bragged backstage in a cold open clip that he could “actually do a backflip” as well.

“Really? I didn’t know that,” Boone responded, as Fallon quipped, “Yeah, I just kind of jump and turn around all the way in the air. Just always had a knack for it, if that makes sense … Flippity Floppities is what I call them.”
“Jimmy, you know you don’t have to do a backflip to impress me, right? I don’t want you to hurt yourself,” Boone insisted, as Fallon, 50, laughed off the comments.

“Nah, it’s actually really easy for me,” the host said.
“Well, that’s amazing!” Boone replied, as Fallon said, “I’m gonna do a backflip…” before eventually crashing into a table full of snacks after yelling “And Jimmy, flippy!”
Boone will now be taking his backflips on the road for his upcoming tour, which kicks off on Aug. 22 at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minn.
The tour will then make stops in cities including Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Nashville, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and more before wrapping Oct. 8 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
Boone is also scheduled for several previously announced global festival performances before, during and after the American Heart Tour.

The tour announcement last month came before the Grammy-nominated artist’s new album American Heart, which is set for a June 20 release through Night Street Records and Warner Records.
Ahead of the album, Boone has released the singles “Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else” and “Mystical Magical.”
