Jodie Turner-Smith is wary of who she can trust.
Three days after her ex-husband Joshua Jackson filed an emergency custody order modification against her, the Queen & Slim actress shared a cryptic warning on social media.
“Why don’t you like that person? They seem so nice,” a meme reposted to Jodie’s Instagram Stories June 2 read, alongside photos of various Disney villains. “You know who else seemed so nice?”
And though she didn’t name any names, the 38-year-old added, “Stay safe out there.”
Indeed, Jodie’s word of warning comes amid her ongoing custody issues with the Dawson’s Creek star—with whom she shares 5-year-old daughter Juno.
Joshua requested an emergency custody order modification on May 30, in which he alleged that Jodie enrolled Juno in a new school, which was outside of the agreed-upon 45-minute commute from his house, without his permission.
“Respondent respectfully requests orders ensuring that the minor child continues attending her present school for the next academic year 2025-2026,” the documents, obtained by E! News, read, “and for the parents’ joint consent to be required for any subsequent school change.”
