2 Chainz is bringing his life story to the page.
On Sept. 4, the rapper and entrepreneur, 47, announced that he will publish a memoir entitled The Voice in Your Head Is God. The book is due out in spring 2026 from Atria Books and Black Privilege Publishing, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
In the book, the Grammy and BET Award winner, born Tauheed Epps, reflects on his life before fame, in which he was raised in Georgia by a single mother after his father was incarcerated. 2 Chainz recounts his teenage years, when he faced “doubt and self-destruction,” per the book’s synopsis, before he “found his purpose” through faith and mentorship.

2 Chainz will also write of pivotal career moments, including his working relationships with musicians Lil Wayne and Ludacris, along with the more difficult moments from his personal life.
“I feel this is my best close and most personal work,” the author said in a statement shared with PEOPLE. “I want to share the spiritual journey behind my success in a raw, uncut and motivational way.”

Earlier this year, 2 Chainz also put out a short film, Red Clay. Co-written with Omar Epps, it follows Nook, a teenager navigating his mother’s drug addiction while dreaming of another life, and stars Christopher Ammanuel, Rutina Wesley and Jaylan Ragin.
“I tell stories through my music, always hoping people feel empowered to overcome anything,” 2 Chainz explained to Variety in May. “Red Clay is an extension of that. Atlanta is full of resilience, and bringing Nook and Bub’s story to life — everyday folks fighting to survive — means everything to me.”

Of The Voice in Your Head Is God, 2 Chainz says he wants the book “to help anyone with a dream and a vision [who] struggles, or doubts their intuition.”
The Voice in Your Head Is God will be published on March 3, 2026 and is now available for preorder, wherever books are sold.
