Where most people would rather skirt past their most embarrassing moments and take all their biggest faux pas to the grave, Joe Jonas puts it all out there.
The second Jonas brother and first middle child in a family of four — he, of course, makes music with Kevin and Nick and the trio also has a little brother named Frankie — is perhaps the most outspoken of all the siblings. His TikTok alone is a treasure trove of hilarious videos, which range from self-deprecatory humor to him hopping on whatever viral trend is tickling his fancy.
Recently, the singer admitted to having joined the mile high club some years back then accidentally high-fiving one of the flight attendants on the plane. And while that is a harrowing confession for most, it’s only one of many chaotic gems the former DNCE frontman has imparted on us fans.
Below, see 11 of Joe Jonas’ most outlandish confessions below.
Joining the Mile High Club, then High-Fiving a Flight Attendant Right After
During an interview with the NowThis series Are You Okay?, Joe revealed he once got intimate with a partner in an airplane bathroom. And while he’s certainly not the first celebrity to do so, it’s what he did right after that got people talking.
“I joined the mile high club a couple years ago. I [wasn’t] wearing contacts, left the bathroom,” he recalled. “I thought I was high-fiving my drummer — it was the flight attendant.”
Looking at the bright side of the ultra-awkward confession, he added, “It was a private flight, or I would be banned from flying.”
Still, the “Sucker” singer lives with no regrets. Asked if the experience was worth enduring that awkward moment, he responded, “Yeah.”
When He Admitted to Pooping His Pants on Stage

Joe is one of a slew of celebrities who have accidentally pooped themselves on stage … and again, showed no qualms about sharing that story with the world.
“Let’s just say it was a bad day to choose to wear white clothing. You think it might be a little toot, it might’ve been a little something else, a little something extra. So it was like a mid-wardrobe s— change during the set,” he said while on KIIS FM’s Will & Woody radio show in Australia.
“If you go in the archives, there is a wardrobe change halfway through the show, and it was maybe a little bit like, ‘Oh that was an interesting choice to change clothes that quickly,'” he added. “That’s a story I’ve never told and also that’s just real life.”
He continued, “It was a light one, it wasn’t a full … so I was able to tell the tale. The whole time, I thought this is definitely — somebody is going to be able to see this and know what is happening, but it was all in my head.”
Like the unabashed king he is, Joe looks at the situation as a defining moment: “It wasn’t as big of a deal as I thought. But such is life. It has happened to many artists. I feel like I’ve paid my dues, and I feel like I’m a part of some secret club now.”
Detailing the Time He Smoked Pot with Fellow Disney Royalty

Shortly after the Jonas Brothers split in 2013,Vulture gave Joe the opportunity to share an inside look at his life in the band, and the then-24 year-old did not disappoint. Case in point: That time he smoked pot with fellow Disney stars Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato.
“The first time I smoked weed was with Demi and Miley,” he told the outlet. “I must have been 17 or 18. They kept saying, ‘Try it! Try it!’ so I gave it a shot, and it was all right. I don’t even smoke weed that often anymore.”
He also revealed he wasn’t that big of a drinker back then as well. “I was caught drinking when I was 16 or 17, and I thought the world was going to collapse. But I was in another country, and it was legal there,” he said.
Another memorable moment? “My 21st birthday, I fell down a flight of stairs. I was unconscious that time, and my whole team was scared to death that somebody was going to get a picture.”
He Let Us Know He Lost His Virginity at 20

In a Reddit AMA back in 2016, the second Jonas brother shared, in great detail, the story of how he lost his virginity to ex-girlfriend Ashley Greene at age 20. (Memorably, the brothers wore “purity rings” in their early days of the band as a demonstration of their commitment to not have sex before marriage.)
“I didn’t have any condoms,” Joe explained. “So I went to our drummer Jack’s room — who was my roommate at the time — and I demolished his room looking for them. [I] found them underneath his underwear drawer. When he came home, he thought somebody broke into his room because his whole room was demolished.”
“I was in dire need,” Joe added. “Needed to happen then and now. Safety first, kids.”
If You Think He’s the Most Well-Endowed JoBro, He’s Totally Okay with That

In the same AMA, Joe also addressed fan speculation that he was the most well-endowed Jonas Brother. In typical Joe fashion, he accepted the top prize with pride.
“I like to think so,” he told a Reddit user. “Although, it’s not often that I’m in a locker room or shower with my brothers, so I couldn’t really tell you. But, I’d like the Internet to believe that I’m still killin’ it.”
“Body Moves” Had His Body Moving
Oh, but he wasn’t done.
Joe also admitted to Reddit users that he got aroused while filming DNCE’s “Body Moves” music video.
“There was definitely some half chubbing going on during the video,” he said. “I wouldn’t say a full blown boner, but I would say a halfie. I mean it’s kind of hard not to in that situation especially when you’re trying to be intimate.”
When He Called Back to Those Infamous Purity RIngs
Fans of the singer know that Joe has really found his calling on TikTok. One of his more viral videos came earlier this year when the singer took a dig at their infamous purity rings, which were meant to be a symbol of their commitment to hold off on having sex and were synonymous with the band during their early days in the 2000s.
“When someone’s complaining to me but they never had to wear a piece of jewelry that let everybody know that they’re a virgin,” Jonas wrote over a Jan. 3 TikTok, which featured him lip-syncing to a popular TikTok sound.
“I don’t even think you really know what a bad day is,” he mouthed along to a soundbite of Russell Crowe’s character in his 2020 movie Unhinged.
He wrapped the caption, “Triggered by accessories.”
Are We Getting a ‘Camp Rock 3?’
First We Feast/Youtube
When you’re Joe Jonas, you can do whatever you want, including possibly-accidentally-purposefully revealing there will be a Camp Rock 3 way before Disney announces anything.
During an Aug. 12 appearance on Hot Ones Versus, which also featured Nick and Kevin, Joe was asked to read his last Notes app entry out loud.
“Uh-oh,” Joe said before clearing his throat and saying, “Read Camp Rock 3.”
Forced to acknowledge the slip-up, his brothers went along with the bit. Nick put down his glass of milk as he made a shocked face at the camera, then said, “It’s pretty good,” and Kevin responded, “Okay, that’s a pretty good one.”
Joe defended his choice to not censor the line: “It’s the truth. It’s literally right here.” The conversation ended with Joe making a silly face as he said, “Sorry, Disney.”
Standing by the Jonas Brothers’ Past Fashion Choices

If you think he carries any shame about the JoBros 2010s fashions, you’re wrong. In the Hot Ones Versus episode, Joe was asked about his thoughts on several of the band’s looks from their heyday.
And while some might look at those braided hair bands, bold Ed Hardy T-shirts and bejeweled belts and be embarrassed, Joe was quite impressed by their past fashion choices.
Their 2008 Kids’ Choice Awards ensembles, for one, were top tier in Joe’s book.
“This is a strong 20/10,” he rated the looks above. “We are past [wearing] free clothes and are now getting into [having] a stylist and we said we would like to dress as polo players …” he joked. Kevin and Nick also chimed in, adding that they looked more like “retired Boca Raton sugar daddies.”
For Joe, his ranking was definitive: “This is our best work. We should bring it back.”
He’d Be So Busted If Forgetting Lyrics Was a Crime
We love a self-aware king. Joe is more than happy to admit that he frequently forgets the words to his own songs, and that he might be facing time if there were criminal charges attached to that behavior.
In a TikTok video posted on Aug. 21, 2022, the “Sucker” singer used a viral filter with him riding in the back of the police car. The video used Akon’s “Locked Up” as the sound and featured a text overlay reading, “If forgetting lyrics was illegal.”
On Being a Girl Dad Though He Grew Up with All Boys

We couldn’t do a confessionals post without touching on Joe’s most treasured role, being a dad.
While appearing on an episode of Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, the musician, who shares daughters, Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3 with ex-wife Sophie Turner, compared being a girl dad to his childhood, having grown up with all brothers.
“Boys are so different than girls,” Joe said. “I’ll watch my kids on the playground and it’s, like, delicate. And then this kid will be like, ‘Ahh!’ and dive off the top of the slide. And you’re just like, ‘That is a boy.’”
Giving props to their (determined) mother, he added, “Four boys in one home. She was the boss, you know … [she gave us] an understanding of how to be nice guys to women.”
“Growing up, we needed a loud voice like her to be able to control us and also make sure that we weren’t, like, pieces of s—,” Joe continued. “I think that was important.”
