NEED TO KNOW
Todd and Julie Chrisley are slowly finding their groove since returning home.
During the Wednesday, Jan. 14 episode of the Chrisley Confessions 2.0 podcast, the reality TV stars gave an update on their life lately, including everything from the holiday chaos to parenting their 13-year-old daughter Chloe, who’s the biological daughter of Todd’s son Kyle Chrisley. Todd, 56, shared that they had to take a little time to adjust to life at home, but they are in a “good space.”
“We are — just seem to be in such a good place,” he said. Agreeing with him, Julie, 53, added, “I think it’s taken us a little time to get back into our groove, our rhythm of everyday life.”
“We came back home to different situations with all the kids. Everything is different,” she continued. “I think it’s just trying to get back into that rhythm, because it’s really just me, you and Chloe on an everyday basis.”
Todd and Julie adopted the teen in 2023 before reporting to prison to begin their prison sentences for a multimillion dollar bank fraud and tax evasion scheme. During the episode, the couple shared that since they’ve been home, they have noticed their daughter’s “teenage personality” starting to come out more.
“She has such a huge personality. Her personality is coming out more every day,” Todd said. “You know what she said to me that day? She said, ‘Girl, don’t try me.’”
He also noted the difference between when the teen “gives [Julie] lip versus when she gives [him] lip,” saying there’s more of a “fear for life.”
“She’s gotten lippy because she’s 13 now,” he added. “She’s into this whole straightening the hair and blowing it out and going her going to her hair guy and makeup and this that and the other.”
Julie told her husband that they have to “pick our battles” when it comes to certain things, adding that how often Chloe straightens her hair is not a huge concern. While Todd agreed, he noted the one thing that he would not bend on.
“I said, ‘Let me tell you something. You come out of there with a cat eye at 13. I’ll dot the other eye,’” Todd said. “I said, ‘You’re not painting on no — whatever the stuff is — eyeliner.’”

Despite her husband’s stance on the matter, Julie mentioned that she asked her daughter, Savannah, who became the legal guardian for Chloe when they were serving time, to help the teen pick out some new makeup to match her skin.
“We’re starting to delve into that world,” Julie added, noting how they spent $750 on new products.
Above all, Todd and Julie love their little girl. Todd shared that they have “a great banter back and forth,” even when Chloe isn’t doing something that Todd asked.
“She is such a funny kid. She’s got a good personality,” Todd added. “I love her, and I’ve got a great relationship with her.”
