Teyana Taylor is shedding light on that viral clip of Leonardo DiCaprio from the 2026 Golden Globes.
DiCaprio, 51, is seen in the clip shared on the Golden Globes official TikTok page, animatedly chatting to someone from across the table at the award show on Sunday, Jan.11 — leaving fans wondering who he was speaking to and what the topic of discussion was.
In an interview with Access Hollywood on Tuesday, Jan. 13, Taylor, 35, confirmed that DiCaprio was speaking to her in the viral clip and that the pair were discussing the animated film, KPop Demon Hunters, winning at the award ceremony.
“He’s talking to me, yes,” Taylor revealed of her One Battle After Another costar. “…I want to say we might have been talking about KPop Demon Hunters, because I was so happy when they won, because my kids love KPop Demon Hunters. So I was over there just jamming and I think he caught me jamming and that’s when we started talking about it.”
Taylor — who won her first Golden Globe on Sunday — admitted that she “blacked out” for most of the night, but she does remember her and DiCaprio “kekeing” about the film and her telling him how her daughters, Iman “Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr., 10, and Rue Rose Shumpert, 5, are big fans.
“I do remember jamming so hard when ‘Golden’ by KPop Demon Hunters came on and we went into this whole spiel about how Junie and Rue love KPop Demon Hunters … but I didn’t know that that whole moment was being captured.”

DiCaprio surprised fans in the clip with his jokey mannerisms and light-hearted mood — which Taylor said the actor has showcased since the first day they met.
“It makes so much more sense when I tell the story about us first meeting each other and we chewing out gum … he’s chewing his gum and I’m chewing my gum, like, he’s a good time,” she said, adding, “That is really my family.”
Taylor revealed in an interview with The New York Times in September 2025 that she and DiCaprio “instantly became best buds” after they first met at Diana Ross’ birthday party “some years back.”
“That’s my wingman, my partner in crime!” she added.
