NEED TO KNOW
Stuart Scola and Nina Chase are making things official on FBI.
The two characters finally tie the knot in the season 8 return of the CBS series on Monday, Feb. 23, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal.
The special agents — played by Shantel VanSanten and John Boyd — can be seen surrounded by friends and family (including son Dougie) as they make things official in the winter return episode, which fans can now get a glimpse of in a handful of first-look images from the on-screen New York City courthouse ceremony.

“Confetti,” the episode where it all goes down, finds the team trying to “flip their only witness to help them hunt down a rip crew at a cartel wedding” after an undercover investigation goes sideways, per a logline.
As a result, Scola and Nina “realize they are ready to tie the knot” themselves, and they’re not waiting any longer. The episode was written by Ryan Maldonado and Eduardo Javier Canto, while directed by Alex Chapple.
Fans should expect some familiar faces during the courthouse nuptials, during which the two actors can be seen holding hands and sharing a kiss.
VanSanten boarded FBI as Nina in 2021’s fourth season, while Boyd joined the procedural as Scola in 2019’s season 2. The agents later welcomed their son, Dougie, who first appeared in season 5.

“To think it all started with Nina being ‘ghosted’ by Scola and now he’s her groom, it’s a rewarding culmination to the Scolina love story that started four seasons ago,” VanSanten, 40, says.
She adds, “It was such a fun day filming these two characters solidifying their commitment to one another with the FBI family as our witnesses!”

Boyd, 44, adds that, while filming, the “day became about more than making the FBI family that Shantel and I have gotten to build over the years ‘official.'”
“Everyone there, together, in celebration, was a milestone in the story of the entire FBI family. A testament to our years together as a cast, our family of incredible fans who have been with us through it all. It felt like they were right there in the room with us that day. We all earned this one together. “
FBI returns on Monday, Feb. 23, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT and will be on Paramount+ next day.
