Oksana Baiul’s ex-husband Carlo Farina has been given primary custody of the former couple’s 10-year-old daughter, Sophia.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Baiul and Farina have settled their divorce after ending their marriage of 13 years. Farina has been granted primary custody of Sophia and will be allowed to move to Las Vegas from Louisiana with her.
If the former Olympian wishes to see her daughter and Sophia agrees to it, then Farina will make good faith efforts to set up the visit, per the documents. Baiul also agreed to enlist in anger management classes and be tested for drugs and alcohol in an effort to ensure she remains sober.

Baiul and Farina agreed that the former professional athlete will not have to pay child support, and neither will pay spousal support in the interim. The parties will be required to list a home in Louisiana, and Baiul may live in another home they owned together for some time.
Back in October, Baiul posted an emotional announcement on social media as she shared she was putting her Louisiana house up for sale and relocating out of state. At the time, Baiul said it was because she couldn’t find work.
“Thank you Shreveport!!! house is for sale moving back to Las Vegas … i love u all I am sorry it didn’t work out,” Baiul wrote.
“I can’t make a living in Shreveport. Unfortunately I can’t,” Baiul said on Facebook. “I do love all the people here. I came for a reason, and it did not happen. I came here to create some things, but they did not come to fruition I have to go where the ice exists.”

According to CBS affiliate KSLA-TV in Shreveport, Baiul and her estranged husband Carlo Farina started divorce proceedings over the summer.
Baiul said her “heart is broken” by the situation, “I have so many friends here. I have met a lot of wonderful and beautiful people here,” she said.
In one video on Facebook, Baiul thanked her friends and fans for their support and said, “I love you all and I will see you very, very soon.”
When one friend asked Baiul if she’ll be posting about her new life in Las Vegas, she said, “YES absolutely.”
Baiul, who is originally from Dnipro, Ukraine, won the gold medal at age 16 in the ladies’ singles event at the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway.
