NEED TO KNOW
After 10 years, My Strange Addiction is back with a new season.
PEOPLE can exclusively share the trailer for the upcoming season of the TLC show, which will follow people with bizarre and shocking fixations, giving a close look at how these compulsive behaviors have taken over their lives.
The trailer begins with Wendy, from Florida, at the nail salon. She pulls a package of raw hamburger meat out of her purse and starts to eat it while getting a pedicure amid shocked onlookers.
“My name is Wendy and I’m addicted to eating raw meat,” she says in the clip.
Wendy ultimately struggles with getting her fiancé’s family on board with her bizarre lifelong habit. She’s at a cookout and gets looks of disgust while biting into a raw steak. One person even says they’re about to throw up just watching her eat the uncooked meat.
“I should be accepted,” Wendy tells the family, bursting into tears.
“It’s a little hard to accept someone who eats raw meat,” one woman replies.

Another woman on the show eats glue sticks. In the clip, her grandmother expresses concern for her health, but the woman says, “I don’t think it’s affecting me.”
However, a doctor warns her, “It can cause stomach cancer, it can cause brain problems, 50 percent of the people who have a blockage die.”
The trailer also sees Carlos, who insists on eating live bugs every day.
“There’s of course a lot of shame. It alienates me from people,” he says.
“You are contaminating your body with active parasitic infections,” the doctor tells him.
“I don’t care if it’s bad for me,” Carlos replies.
