NEED TO KNOW
Meghan King is sharing some insight into her last year.
The former Real Housewives of Orange County alum, 41, shared a cryptic post on her Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 6, as she recounted her last year. King posted a picture of herself walking through a long hallway, which was adorned with several Christmas decorations.
Various Christmas trees were seen on either side of King, who wore a red dress and walked under a chandelier. “I’ve carried loss in lonely rooms, made decisions with shaking hands,” King wrote in her caption.
“I didn’t break. I bent, adjusted, kept going when disappearing would’ve been easier.
2025 is over, yet I stand,” she wrote.

This isn’t the first time King has spoken about the past year. Back in December, she posted an Instagram Story resharing a meme that read: “It was a tough year, but at least I did not buy a Labubu.”
King then added her own text to the post and wrote, “Butttttt a bunch of ‘super-rare’ stuff happened J/s [just saying] 🤷♀️.”
Last year, news broke that King’s three kids — Aspen, 9, and twins Hart and Hayes, 7 — would live full-time with her ex-husband Jim Edmonds following an investigation with Child Protective Services. PEOPLE confirmed the news on Dec. 11.
King will get to see the kids for a few weeks every summer. The deal was struck just before Edmonds and King were set to appear before a judge.
“The custody hearing has been called off and both sides have reached an agreement that is in the best interests of the children,” Edmonds’ rep Steve Honig told PEOPLE at the time.
Months before, in October, the three kids were removed from King’s care, a source told PEOPLE. Weeks later, on Nov. 19, multiple outlets reported that King had temporarily lost custody of her children.

Days later, a source told PEOPLE exclusively that the decision to remove the children from King’s custody came after King allegedly gave Ritalin to one of her sons multiple times, even though the child had not been prescribed the medication by a doctor.
King allegedly asked a school nurse to administer the medication to her son, the insider claimed. “She tried to get the nurse to do it and then somebody from the school called CPS and they opened an investigation.”
Following the school employee’s report to CPS, a court-appointed advocate became the children’s guardian ad litem, who then filed for a temporary restraining order against King, the source said.
After the children were removed from her care, King was granted supervised visitation of their kids, while Edmonds received sole physical custody, according to Us Weekly, which was first to report the news.
