Meghan King’s custody plan with ex Jim Edmonds has been revealed.
The former Real Housewives of Orange County star has agreed to let her three kids live full-time with her ex-husband Edmonds following an investigation with Child Protective Services, PEOPLE can confirm.
A source tells PEOPLE that the former couple’s daughter Aspen, 8, and twins Hart and Hayes, 7, will live full-time with Edmonds and his wife Kortnie in Tennessee. King will get to see the kids for a few weeks every summer. The deal was struck just before Edmonds and King were set to appear before a judge.
Us Weekly was first to report the news.

On Dec. 8, PEOPLE confirmed that King and Edmonds had reached an agreement on custody for their three kids. “The custody hearing has been called off and both sides have reached an agreement that is in the best interests of the children,” Edmonds’ rep Steve Honig told PEOPLE at the time.
King did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
On Nov. 19, multiple outlets reported that King had temporarily lost custody of her children in recent months, and a source told PEOPLE that the removal came sometime in late October, around Halloween.
Later that week in November, another source told PEOPLE exclusively that the decision to remove the children from King’s custody came after King allegedly gave Ritalin to one of her sons multiple times, even though the child had not been prescribed the medication by a doctor.
The source also said that King allegedly asked a school nurse to administer the medication to her son.
“She tried to get the nurse to do it and then somebody from the school called CPS and they opened an investigation,” the source said.
Following the report from the school employee to Child Protective Services, the source said that the children’s guardian ad litem, a court-appointed advocate, filed for a temporary restraining order against Meghan.
After the children were removed from her care, King was granted supervised visitation of their kids, while Edmonds received sole physical custody, according to Us Weekly, which was first to report the news.
King and Edmonds were married for five years before they split in 2019, and their divorce was finalized two years later in 2021.
Edmonds and wife Kortnie — who first went public with their relationship in April 2020 and got engaged in July 2021 — married in September 2022.
