Love called — and these Hearties answered.
Since the Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart — which was inspired by Janette Oke’s bestselling book series Canadian West — first debuted in 2014, multiple romances have blossomed on set. Erin Krakow, who leads the show as Elizabeth Thornton, has gone on to marry her costar Ben Rosenbaum, who plays Mike Hickman. Meanwhile, stars Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace also tied the knot after meeting on the series.
While reflecting on the romances that developed on the set of When Calls the Heart, Krakow told PEOPLE in April 2024 that “there’s just always been a bit of magic in Hope Valley” and that there is “just something special about the show and the people involved.”
“When you put a bunch of special people together in one place, connections are bound to be made,” she continued.
Here’s everything to know about the real-life loves of the When Calls the Heart season 13 cast.

While Elizabeth and Mike aren’t a couple on-screen, the actors who play them are in real life. Rumors of a romance between Krakow and Rosenbaum began in January 2023 when the actress revealed on Instagram that she and her costar had adopted a dog named Willoughby together.
However, the couple didn’t officially confirm their relationship until February 2024. The day after Valentine’s Day, Krakow shared snaps of the two of them on Instagram, including a photo of herself giving Rosenbaum a kiss on the cheek.
That same day, Rosenbaum also made their relationship Instagram official by sharing a screenshot of his phone’s lock screen, which featured a photo of Krakow with their dog Willoughby. Alongside the image, he wrote, “First thing I see when I wake up. Last thing I see before sleep. Happy Valentines Day ❤️❤️.”
The pair surprised fans in June 2025 when they revealed that they had gotten married on Instagram.
“♾️,” Krakow captioned pictures from their nuptials.
The bride wore a short sleeve satin dress and a veil with a lace trim for her big day, while her groom sported a brown double-breasted suit with a white collared shirt.
In November 2025, the couple revealed that they’re expecting their first child together. The duo announced the news with a joint post on Instagram, sharing black-and-white photo booth pictures of them holding a sonogram.
“So much to be grateful for!!! 🥰,” Krakow wrote in the caption.

McGarry and Wallace also fell in love while working on When Calls the Heart.
The actors both joined the Hallmark Channel show in season 6, which filmed in the summer of 2018. McGarry plays Nathan Grant, while Wallace portrayed Fiona Miller for five seasons before leaving the series ahead of season 11. However, their relationship actually started after they collaborated on music together.
“We always play. We’ll play music together,” McGarry told Entertainment Tonight in March 2024. “That’s how it all started actually. We, you know … collaborated.”
The couple went public with their relationship in November 2020. “Photo evidence,” McGarry captioned an Instagram picture of Polaroid snapshots of himself and Wallace with two coffees in the background.
Two years later, in December 2022, Wallace announced their engagement with a video of herself wearing her diamond ring as she and McGarry kissed. “Forever❤️,” the joint post was captioned.
At the annual Hearties Family Reunion fan event on Sept. 14, 2024, McGarry confirmed that he and Wallace had tied the knot. Five days after the event, Wallace posted a romantic photo from their wedding, writing, “Just McGarried.”
In November 2025, the couple shared that they were expecting their first child together.
“We can’t wait to meet you, baby♥️,” Wallace captioned a joint post on Instagram showing McCarry cradling her pregnant stomach in front of a Christmas tree. “Premiering 2026.”

Jack Wagner, who portrays When Calls the Heart’s Bill Avery, has been married to singer Michelle Wolf since May 2025. They’ve been together since January 2021.
The couple wed in a “rather small and intimate” wedding. The ceremony was attended by “about 40” of their closest friends and family members, in addition to “a DJ,” according to Wagner.
“[It was] something that was just ours, with a group that we selected,” he told PEOPLE. “It was just so cool that it was just a big kind of funfest that doesn’t happen very often in life where everybody lets loose.”
A month after their wedding, Wagner revealed that he and Wolf remained living in separate homes. “She has her place. I still have mine. We’re both super comfortable in our places and going back and forth, and so we’ve decided, let’s not rock the boat and sell this and sell that and try to find something,” he told Parade.
“So we’re kind of living the life we lived when we dated,” the actor continued. “We take a couple nights off, and then we trade off who’s going to be where because I think we both know that the older we are, it’s nice to have a little space. Not too much, but it’s okay! It works.”
Wagner was previously married to his General Hospital costar Kristina Wagner from 1993 to 2006.

Hutton and Dorosh share two sons. The Hallmark actress has described her husband as “the most incredible man in the world,” telling My Devotional Thoughts in April 2017 that her “boys just love him to death.”

In When Calls the Heart, Kavan Smith’s character, Leland Coulter, is married to Rosemary Coulter. But off-screen, the actor is married to casting director Corinne Clark, per Soaps.com.
The actor “pretty much immediately” knew that his wife was the one for him. “I had known her for some time professionally,” he revealed to Hallmark in May 2018.
“She’s not an actress. I would never do that to myself. One drama queen in a relationship is enough — and that’s me,” Smith continued. “But I had known her through work a little bit and she’s the only woman in my whole life I’ve ever actually had to say ‘Would you go out with me?’ ”
Smith and his wife share two sons. The actor told My Devotional Thoughts in February 2019 that he does not take pictures of his wife and kids.
“I hope the fans don’t see that as me being kind of removed and remote and not appreciative,” he said.
