Jason Kelce’s top music genre for the year on Spotify has a sweet nod to his youngest daughter.
On the Wednesday, Dec. 10 episode of New Heights, the retired NFL professional, 38, revealed the sweet reason the doo-wop genre topped his 2025 Spotify Wrapped. Jason, who’s married to wife Kylie Kelce, 33, shared that he sings doo-wop songs to his daughter Finnley, 8 months, to get her to stop crying.
“My top genre is doo-wop,” he told his brother and co-host Travis Kelce. “So doo-wop is more because I sing a lot of doo-wop songs to Finny. For some reason, she stops crying when I sing like Fleetwoods and some of the like doo-wop music from back in the day.”
In addition to his daughter Finnley, the podcaster is a dad to daughters Bennett, 2, Elliotte, 4, and Wyatt, 6. On the Dec. 3 episode of the podcast, Jason revealed that one of his recent bedtime stories did not go over well with his wife after it ended up scaring his daughter Elliotte.
“They’ll tell me sometimes, the girls will tell me they want one of their stuffed animals in the story or they want to be in the story themselves,” Jason shared. “And I’m like, alright. I’m about to do Pinocchio. And Ellie’s like, ‘Oh, put, I forget what stuffed animal it was. Put Slothy… in the story.’ I was like, okay, right?”
“‘One night, Ellie wished upon a star, and Slothy came to life.’ And her eyes went just [wide] and she didn’t move, and she was just holding the stuffed animal,” he recalled. “And I got through the— I had a Jiminy Cricket figurine. I had a whole conscience thing going on and everything.”
However, the former Philadelphia Eagles player said the slight change with putting his daughter’s stuffed animal in the story didn’t turn out as well as he had hoped.
“The only thing after the story, Ellie was just so terrified that she was holding [the stuffed animal],” said Jason, as Travis, 36, laughed at the story and exclaimed, “This is so good.”
“Kylie was furious. She’s like, ‘What the f— is wrong with you?’ ” Jason shared.

On a different episode of the podcast, the dad of four shared he is a firm believer in scaring children on Halloween. Jason said the act of scaring children is “important,” adding it’s “a good thing to do these days.”
“Dad just likes scaring people. He does,” he shared, referring to his father Ed Kelce. “And as a current dad, I concur. Like, scaring kids is important. I firmly believe that.”
Laughing at Jason, Travis questioned, “Making a kid cry?”
“I mean, it doesn’t have to cry. Could just be like a little…,” he added, mimicking how a scared kid could react. “I think it’s a good thing to do these days.”
