Ezra Sosa is addressing his performance during the opening night of Dancing with the Stars Live!
On Jan. 22, several performers from the 34th season of the iconic reality competition show returned to the stage together in Akron, Ohio, to kick off a 70-stop live tour throughout North America, and Sosa wasn’t quite satisfied with the performance he gave.
The next day, the 25-year-old dancer — who finished in 3rd place alongside celebrity partner Jordan Chiles, 24, during the most recent DWTS season — took to TikTok, where he admitted that he was “having a breakdown during intermission because I kept messing up our first show on tour.”
In the caption of the post, the dancer added, “im genuinely so upset with myself, ill be better for you guys ❤️🩹”
Despite his worries that he had let down fans in the audience, many in the comments quickly jumped to reassure him that they couldn’t even tell that he was having an off night.
“girl no one ever notices these things!!!” wrote one. “I was indeed there and thought you ate DOWN I didn’t notice any mess ups and I’m a dancer too!” added another.
Sosa, 25, recently wrapped his second season of DWTS in the fall — dancing his way to the finale with Chiles. The year before, he had been partnered with convicted con artist Anna Delvey, though they were eliminated in the second round.

In an interview with PEOPLE in November, Chiles, an Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast, called “such an amazing partner.”
“Words can’t describe the journey that we’ve been on, and so I just have to say, thanks for always being there by my side,” Chiles continues. “Literally through the ups, through the downs, through everything that we’ve gone through. And now, my guy, you made it to the finale and we got a perfect score.”

Even after the show’s season came to a close, the duo marked their ongoing friendship by getting matching tattoos that read “Just Married!” (The words were a cheeky nod to viral rumors that Sosa — who publicly came out as gay in 2022 — was secretly engaged to Chiles.)
