Michael Crawford’s role in The Phantom of the Opera not only brought him years of success but also led him to his longtime partner.

The Tony-winning actor — best known for originating the lead role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical — welcomed two daughters, Emma and Lucy, with his first wife, Gabrielle Lewis. After their split, he began dating Natasha MacAller, whom he met during his run in The Phantom of the Opera.

Michael and Natasha have been together for nearly three decades. “I’ve got a good partner now. I couldn’t have more respect for Tash. And admiration and love,” he told the Daily Mail in 2016.

Although Michael hasn’t shared much about his partner or children, they’ve all stepped out to support the theater alum over the years. Most recently, Natasha, Emma and Lucy were all in attendance at the Kennedy Center Honors in early December 2025, when Michael was honored for his achievements in the arts.

Natasha is a chef and former ballerina

Michael isn’t the only one with a background in the arts, as Natasha is a former ballerina, per her Instagram bio, which also notes she is a chef, consultant, author and mentor.

According to her bio on publishing company Octopus Books’ website, she spent three decades as a professional ballerina, performing with New York’s prestigious Joffrey Ballet and Boston Ballet before her run in the Broadway and Los Angeles productions of The Phantom of the Opera.

Now, Natasha splits her time between Los Angeles, London and New Zealand, where she teaches cookery courses and writes. Her third cookbook, The Apothecary Chef, is set to be published in February 2026, per her Instagram.

Michael and Natasha have been together for nearly three decades

Michael met Natasha during their run in Phantom of the Opera, per the Daily Mail. While it’s unknown when they began dating, Michael told the outlet in May 2016 that they had been together for “nearly 20 years.”

“We’re just wonderful,” he said of his relationship with Natasha.

Michael welcomed two children with his ex-wife, Lewis

Michael welcomed two daughters — Emma and Lucy — with his ex-wife, Lewis.

Lucy has made Michael a grandfather, as she has children with her husband, per The Advertiser.

“I love coming over the Tasman, just sneaking off and going around the place,” Michael told the outlet in 2012. “I love seeing my daughter and my grandkids and my son-in-law. It’s good stuff.”

More recently, Michael surprised Lucy in Australia in January 2020 when she received a Citizen of the Year award.

Michael’s children live relatively private lives compared to their famous father, but they have been stepping out in support of their dad since as early as the 1990s.

In March 2011, they joined him at an afterparty in London for Webber’s West End production of The Wizard of Oz, in which Michael starred as The Wizard.
