NEED TO KNOW
Does Stefon Diggs know something that we don’t know?
The New England Patriots star, 32, was put on the spot by a reporter at Super Bowl LX Opening Night when he was asked about the rumor that his girlfriend, Cardi B, will make a surprise cameo with Bad Bunny during halftime on Sunday, Feb. 8.
The topic arose when Diggs was asked by a different reporter his thoughts on the Puerto Rican Grammy winner, to which the wide receiver answered by pulling up one of his favorite songs, “NUEVAYoL” off his acclaimed 2025 album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, on his phone.

“Yeah, there’s one song I really like,” replied a stumped Diggs, who couldn’t recall the song title on the spot so whipped out his device for an impromptu jam sesh on the mic in front of media, including PEOPLE, who circled his podium at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center on Feb. 2.
While the music was playing, another reporter asked the NFL star about the rumors his rapper girlfriend, 33, will make a surprise appearance with Bad Bunny during his halftime show set, given their 2018 hit together, “I Like It,” which also features J Balvin.
“I don’t know, we can call and ask her,” quipped Diggs, playing coy with his response before quickly reverting back to singing, “NUEVAYoL,” saying, “…but I think this is my favorite part!”
Elsewhere during Opening Night, the NFL star weighed in on whether he’ll be proposing to Cardi soon after being asked about his relationship with the “Up” rapper.

The reporter asked if Diggs wins the Super Bowl and gets a championship ring, whether the “Up” rapper would be “getting her ring” afterward. In response, the New England Patriots wide receiver responded, “It’s on the agenda, maybe, right? Right?”
He jokingly added, “I gotta get mine first.”
He and the musician have been dating for several months and share a son — whose name has not yet been released, and who was born in November — together. The “Am I the Drama?” rapper announced the baby news in September.

The two first sparked romance rumors after they were spotted together in New York City and Miami in February 2025, per TMZ. They took their relationship public in May 2025 with an appearance together at a New York Knicks playoff game.
The next month, Cardi confirmed her relationship with Diggs on Instagram. Though the musician appeared to hint at a breakup a month later when she removed every photo with the wide receiver from her feed, the couple is still going strong.
Cardi has supported Diggs at a number of his games over the course of the season. In January, she celebrated the Patriots’ AFC Championship 10-7 win over the Denver Broncos, sealing their spot in the 2026 Super Bowl.
