NEED TO KNOW
TikTok chef Tineke “Tini” Younger returned to the social media platform for the first time since the death of one of her twin daughters in November 2025.
In her first TikTok video in three months, Younger thanked her fans and supporters and addressed claims that the placental abruption she experienced was “her fault” because she was working too hard.
“I saw a lot of people saying, ‘Oh, it’s because she was overworking herself by filming videos and doing this,'” Younger said in the Monday, Feb. 2, video. “It was not my fault. Unfortunately, that’s why twins are high risk, especially mono-di twins.”
Younger also explained that she released all her previous videos five weeks after filming.
Younger announced in a Facebook post on Nov. 26 that she experienced a placental abruption, resulting in the loss of “sweet girl Arya (Baby A).” The social media star, who announced that she and husband Antoine Wright Jr. were expecting twins in July 2025, said at the time that the baby’s twin sister survived.
In her Feb. 2 video, Younger referred to her surviving child as “Baby L,” noting that she wants to preserve her daughter’s privacy.
Mono-di (formally known as Monochorionic-diamniotic) twins are twins who share a placenta and each has its own amniotic sac, according to BabyCenter. One of the risks of giving birth to mono-di twins includes placenta abruption, per Healthline.
A placental abruption occurs when “the placenta partly or completely separates from the inner wall of the uterus before delivery. This can decrease or block the baby’s supply of oxygen and nutrients and cause heavy bleeding in the mother,” according to the Mayo Clinic. It can lead to restricted growth from not getting enough nutrients, not getting enough oxygen, premature birth, or stillbirth.

In addition to the placental abruption, Younger shared that she suffered postpartum preeclampsia, which led to her being placed on a magnesium drip. Postpartum preeclampsia “occurs when you have high blood pressure and excess protein in your urine soon after childbirth,” and “can cause seizures and other serious complications,” according to the Mayo Clinic.
Younger “didn’t sleep for four days straight” after she gave birth, she said. “So it was terrible,” she explained, adding that she’s “still dealing with complications.”
The new mom shared that at the time of birth, her twins together weighed over 10 pounds, saying that because she carried the two and the placenta, her “ribs are still hurting.”
Younger also said she talks about Arya “all the time to her sister” and that they created a memorial in her room called “Arya’s corner.”
“It has her picture, her footprints and her urn,” Younger said, adding, “Her sister looks at her all the time… She smiles. It’s the most aware she’s ever been is when she sees that memorial she like, literally always try to look at it.”
“When we’re trying to rock her asleep, she’ll tilt her head and she’ll just stare at it. We’ll show her a picture of her sister, and she’ll just smile at it too,” Younger said. She also noted that she will “always” have Arya with her because she wears some of Arya’s ashes around her neck, along with Arya’s name and her sister’s name. “So they’re always together.”

“The only thing that you guys will really see is if we have to, like, hold her in the video,” she said, adding that she will not be doing “mommy content.”
“I’m going to stay [with] cooking content,” she said, adding that she has “a lot of fun stuff coming out this year.”
