Ellie Goulding is not letting her pregnancy define her.
The singer, 39, spoke with NYLON for a new interview and shared about growing her family with boyfriend Beau Minniear. Goulding announced last month that she is currently pregnant with her second baby — she is also mom to son Arthur, 4, with ex Caspar Jopling.
“I didn’t want to become just a pregnant woman first,” Goulding told the outlet. “Not every woman has this luxury. I have amazing people around me.”

“I have an amazing boyfriend. I do have it a little easier in that I do have amazing support. I’m still working every day and still writing every day,” she continued. “It’s just that I am growing a human inside me.”
“I’m perhaps not the most, like, Mother Earth about it, if you know what I mean? It’s a beautiful thing to be able to grow a child, and I feel very lucky that I’m healthy — but it’s not all I am right now.”
Goulding announced in December that she is expecting her second child, her first with Minniear. The British star revealed her pregnancy while walking the red carpet at the 2025 Fashion Awards in London.

The “Love Me Like You Do” singer and Minniear, 28, went public with their romance during an outing in London in September. The two have been spending time together since at least July, when Minniear shared a racy photo of Goulding on Instagram.
In a July 29 post to the social media platform, Minniear included snaps of himself and some picturesque locations, as well as a shot of Goulding lying nude in bed with her arm, side and thigh visible but face mostly obstructed. She liked the post and commented with a single red heart.
The relationship came after Goulding and art dealer Jopling announced their separation after 4½ years of marriage in February 2024.
“In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago,” Goulding wrote on Instagram Stories at the time. “We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our son’s best interests at heart. We are committed to protecting our family privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes – we won’t be commenting further. Thank you.”
