NEED TO KNOW
Jennifer Lawrence is offering some insight into her recent Kourtney Kardashian comments, which she used as an example of the “insane” things she’s said in past interviews.
The Die My Love actress, 35, shared during her appearance on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast on Tuesday, Jan. 20, that she has indeed said some “insane” things in interviews — and might need to reevaluate how many sit-downs she does moving forward.
During the podcast, Poehler, 54, commended Lawrence on her ability to be “honest in real time and connect,” before asking her how she balances keeping things to herself and sharing information with the world. Poehler also called Lawrence “so famous and so real,” adding “those two things are not always the case.”
“I think that when I do press, I should do half [of] what normal people do,” Lawrence said. “Because I see my quotes and they’re insane. Like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence calls Kourtney Kardashian annoying.’ It’s just too… you know? It carries.”

Lawrence was referring to her November 2025 comments about the reality star, who she said during a Vanity Fair video segment was “more annoying than ever” while chatting with her co-star Robert Pattinson.
“She drives me nuts,” Lawrence said at the time while describing the reality show. “Because everything has to be an announcement. It’s like, ‘I’m not gonna wear outfits anymore.’ Like, just wear whatever you want.”
Lawrence, who is a friend of the Kardashian-Jenner family, has previously expressed her love for the Kardashians’ former series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, going as far as ranking her favorite cast members during a 2018 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. At the time, she ranked Kourtney’s sister, Khloé, as her favorite.
Elsewhere during Lawrence’s appearance on Good Hang, the Hunger Games alum caught up with Poehler about everything from her Robert De Niro impression to motherhood. She also revealed that when she was pregnant, she could have appeared on Bear Grylls’ Man vs. Wild, but her OBGYN quickly vetoed the idea.
The actress welcomed her first child, son Cy, in February 2022. She and husband Cooke Maroney later expanded their family in 2025 with the arrival of their second child.
“I tried to go on Bear Grylls’ [Man vs. Wild],” she told Poehler. “I was determined to do it. I ended up getting pregnant, but I was still going to do it.”
“And then I texted my OBGYN, like ‘Hey, so I’m going to be doing Bear Grylls’ on like the 17th. Is there anything I should tell them?’ And, he was like, ‘You’re not doing that.’ “
