Ben Affleck doesn’t quite recall meeting Lisa Barlow — despite her claims that they were together at a work event.
During the season 6 premiere of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, the reality star, 51, told her costar Angie Katsanevas that she had to skip out on an RV road trip with the rest of the cast because of a high-profile work commitment.
“I have a work thing, it’s like a big deal,” Barlow said during the September 2025 episode. “I think what people forget is, I have a very full life because I keep it kinda private. I’m not gonna drop names, but I’ll be with Ben and Blake [Lively].”
Since some of her fellow Bravolebrities have since expressed that they don’t believe her, Affleck, 53, was asked to weigh in on the controversy during a Friday, Jan. 16 interview with Access Hollywood.

When asked if he knew Barlow, the Good Will Hunting actor began, “I don’t wanna get anybody in trouble.”
“I haven’t been in Utah in, I don’t know, eight, nine, 10 years,” Affleck continued, racking his brain to try to pinpoint the exact event the reality star may have been referring to alongside his The Rip costar, Matt Damon. “It doesn’t look familiar to me and I don’t remember anything, and I don’t want to embarrass her.”
After all, Affleck emphasized that he does “meet a lot of people” and “say hi to a lot of people” on a daily basis.
“I don’t wanna be the jerk who is like, ‘I did meet you.’ You don’t remember everyone you meet,” he concluded. “I don’t think I’m qualified to weigh in on this.”

After the interview clip was posted on social media, however, Barlow came with receipts and clarified the exact event she was referring to in the comments.
“SXSW 🩶🩶🩶 The Accountant 2 🩶🩶🩶,” she wrote. “And it was a great movie and party.”
That same day, Barlow shared a TikTok video featuring clips from her time at SXSW — including both the premiere of The Accountant 2 and Another Simple Favor — alongside the caption, “Ben and Blake 🤍.”
