NEED TO KNOW
Evan Peters isn’t sure what to expect when it comes to American Horror Story’s upcoming season 13.
Speaking with PEOPLE exclusively at the New York City premiere of his new series, The Beauty, on Jan. 14, the actor, 38, admitted he is “excited” but also “anxious” for what’s in store when the Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk-created series returns to television screens later this year.
“I think Ryan wants it to be a kind of greatest hits season,” Peters — who has starred in 10 out of 12 AHS seasons — said.
“He is bringing back all the alumni,” the star continued of Murphy, 60, with whom he has also collaborated with on Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

Back in October — on Halloween, naturally — Ryan Murphy Productions’ Instagram account announced that Peters would be returning to the show for its latest season, alongside other AHS mainstays Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd and Leslie Grossman.
The star-studded list concluded with the most shocking return of all: Jessica Lange, who previously said she was done with the FX anthology series.

“Surprise bitch. I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me,” text in the classic AHS font read in the video, which was set to the tune Vera Lynn’s cover of “I’ll Be Seeing You.”
Ariana Grande, who previously collaborated with Murphy and Falchuk, 54, for Scream Queens, will also star. She worked on the FOX series with Roberts, 34, and Lourd, 33.

AHS, which premiered in 2011, is an anthology series that tells a different story each season, though some are connected through characters who appear multiple times or through plots that intertwine. (Past AHS seasons have centered around a haunted house, a freak show, an asylum, the apocalypse and a coven of witches, to name a few.)
In The Beauty, Peters’ latest collaboration with Murphy, he portrays an FBI agent investigating a sexually transmitted treatment known as “the Beauty” that makes users physically attractive, but at a deadly cost.
Others featured in the series include Ashton Kutcher, Bella Hadid, Isabella Rossellini, Anthony Ramos and Rebecca Hall, among others.
American Horror Story returns this fall. The Beauty is scheduled to debut on FX and Hulu on Disney+ on Jan. 21.
