Michael Cyril Creighton has nothing but love for his Only Murders in the Building (OMITB) costars.
Speaking with PEOPLE for an exclusive interview at the opening night of the Broadway show Bug in New York City on Jan. 8, the 47-year-old actor praised castmates Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin.
“They’re the greatest people,” Creighton said of the three stars, who have a combined seven Emmy nominations in the Lead Actor/Actress categories.
He continued, “They’re very, very down to earth. They’re very kind to everybody that walks on that set. It really sets the tone for the whole show.”

Creighton, who plays neighbor-turned-murder-mystery-assistant Howard Morris, ended his compliments by saying the Hulu series is “so fun to watch because it’s so fun to make, and that’s really because of the three of them.”
Gomez, 33, Short, 75, and Martin, 80, play true-crime-obsessed neighbors Mabel Mora, Oliver Putnam and Charles-Haden Savage, respectively, who solve murders in their building for their podcast.
After the season 5 finale aired — with a shocking death of a character — in October, Hulu confirmed the series was renewed for a sixth season.
The cast will soon head to London to film season 6, marking a new setting for the series.

At the time, Gomez helped reveal that the show is headed across the pond, where the trio will take their podcast overseas to solve a new murder mystery.
“Well, looks like our fam is going to London y’all,” she wrote on Instagram.
Only Murders in the Building seasons 1 through 5 are streaming now on Hulu.
