On Wednesday, Jan. 7, Knoxville, the 54-year-old co-creator of the stunt-comedy franchise, shared a new photo of himself on Instagram and an image of the franchise’s logo with a graphic that reads “june 26th.”
Knoxville shared in the caption that the franchise is returning to theaters in the summer, and outlets like Variety and Deadline confirmed the Jackass movie is a brand-new fifth entry in the long-running series.
“Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang,” he wrote in the caption. “We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!! We will see you in theatres June 26th. More to come but wanted you to hear it from us first!!” Steve-O commented on the post, “Yeah dude!!!”
Knoxville has not yet shared any other details regarding the new Jackass movie, including its official title and cast.
The movie is the first installment since 2022’s Jackass Forever, which featured Knoxville and original cast members Steve-O, Dave England, Wee Man, Chris Pontius and Preston Lacy, among others, as well as a number of celebrity guests.
