Oasis revealed whether or not they’d be open to doing the theme song for the next James Bond film.
In an interview with talkSPORT Drive on Monday, Jan. 5, Noel Gallagher discussed the prospect of the band writing a song for the next film, which is known as “Bond 26.”
When host Andy Goldstein asked Noel, 58, if he’d “like it” if he received a call from Barbara Broccoli [long-term Bond producer] asking him to write the Bond theme song, he had a quick reply.
“I’d say, ‘Alright Babs,'” he teased, before adding: “Absolutely, yeah, of course, it’d be an absolute honor!”
He then said that he thought the theme songs “should be done by Brits, not Yanks.”
Noel said that he had yet to receive a call from the Bond crew, but would be open to taking on an on-screen role in the next flick.
“I’ll play a villain, I’ll play a Mancunian villain!” he said.
The last actor to play James Bond in the franchise was Daniel Craig. However, he departed the series after the release of his fifth film No Time to Die in 2021.
Callum Turner has also been been rumored to take on the role of James Bond, and in December 2023, claimed he’d had no meetings about playing the famed spy, but praised “amazing producer” Broccoli, now 65.

“She makes incredible films,” he said at the time. “I’d love to work with her in any capacity.”
Other actors whose names have surfaced for the role are Euphoria and Saltburn star Jacob Elordi and Bullet Train actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
Back in October 2023, Broccoli told The Guardian that she and her fellow Bond filmmakers hadn’t “even begun” work on the next installment.
“Daniel gave us the ability to mine the emotional life of the character … and also the world was ready for it,” she said at the time. “I think these movies reflect the time they are in, and there’s a big, big road ahead reinventing it for the next chapter, and we haven’t even begun with that.”
As for Oasis, Noel and Liam Gallagher’s Oasis Live ’25 Tour kicked off in July 2025 and wrapped in November 2025.
