Bad Bunny and J Balvin have reunited — on tour!
The global superstar, 31, brought the Colombian singer, 40, on stage as a surprise guest during the eighth and final show in his Mexico City stop of his Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour on Sunday, Dec. 21.
The reggaeton hitmakers performed “La Canción” and “Que Pretendes” from their collaborative album OASIS, their 2017 hit “Si Tu Novio Te Deja Sola” and “I Like It.”
The crowd went wild as Balvin, real name José Osorio Balvín, popped out on stage during Bad Bunny’s performance of “La Canción.” Fans roared as the two Latin icons reunited, marking their first appearance together since 2021.

After the Puerto Rican rapper, born Benito Martínez Ocasio, seemingly dissed Balvin in his song “Thunder Y Lightning” from his 2023 album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, fans suspected the two had a falling out. With lyrics, “You guys have seen me with the same people while you all are friends with the whole world like Balvin,” fans and Balvin alike were confused about Benito’s name drop.
In response to the lyrics, Balvin said, “I don’t understand what was going through his head, but well — the guy I know is a good person,” on an Instagram Live.

Despite past differences, the two reconciled on the GNP Seguros Stadium stage, embracing one another and exchanging heartfelt words.
“I’m so proud of Benito Ocasio Martinez for what he’s doing, for what he represents,” Balvin said. “Because he takes us Latinos around the world. Because he’s a dreamer, hard worker, who we always knew would become one of the biggest in music history. For me, it’s an honor to share with you, and I’d like to thank you because you’ve taught me a lot too.”
He continued, “Today, I want to tell you that I admire you, that I love you and your family… May God bless them and keep blessing them. The past is the past, but we’re men that have matured… and we forgive each other always.”

Balvin was the second special guest during the final night in Mexico City, as Bad Bunny brought out Mexican rapper Natanel Cano to perform “Soy el Diablo Remix” on the La Casita stage — a replica of a traditional Puerto Rican home.
Bad Bunny will continue his tour into the new year, playing shows across South America, Australia, Asia and Europe until summer 2026. Though he doesn’t have any stops in the United States, the rapper will headline the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show in February.
