Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer are marrying their talents to form the ultimate creative partnership.
As the Twilight star makes her feature directorial debut in the new Lidia Yuknavitch biopic The Chronology of Water, she shared rare insight into how her wife—whom she wed in Los Angeles in April—has influenced her own work ethic.
“She’s a consummate writer,” she told E! News’ Will Marfuggi in an exclusive interview. “I write only because I have to. I find it miserable. I like to shoot.”
As a result, the 35-year-old has learned to lean on Dylan—who is credited as a producer on the film—to enhance her professional output.
“We have very, very different, very cohesive energies,” Kristen explained. “This might sound totally arrogant, but I think that we’re kind of unstoppable. She’s meditative and she’s very, very macro. I am so micro. It just works.”
And the movie—out now in limited release before opening in theatres nationwide Jan. 9—isn’t the only project Kristen and Dylan, 38, have in the works. They also joined forces on the upcoming movie The Wrong Girls, which is sure to take their filmmaking dynamic to new heights.
