Venus Williams is showing how her fiancé Andrea Preti aced his engagement proposal.
In a Tuesday, Dec. 2, Instagram post, the tennis pro, 45, shared an inside look at the couple’s intimate engagement on Jan. 31 — which included several romantic photos of the pair and even the athlete’s precious pup Harry.
She kicked off her post with a snap of herself and Preti in a loving embrace as they kept their heads close together. Venus wore a white halter dress, while Preti wore a shirt with a cheetah-print pattern and black pants.
A second photo showed the athlete resting her head on her fiancé’s shoulder as they gazed out over a balcony. She followed this sweet picture with another one showing her cuddling her dog as Preti gave the pup a kiss on the head.
She concluded the post with a black-and-white shot of Preti resting his head on hers as they relaxed together for a moment. She captioned the photos, “Engaged 1/31/25💫.”

In September, Venus was spotted in Italy wearing a white sun hat with all-cap letter patches that spell out “SIG.RA PRETI.” The title is short for signora, which translates to “Mrs.” in Italian.
In the photos, the bride-to-be also wore a white dress and black tennis shoes while sitting in the backseat of a golf cart during a trip around the village of Sant’Angelo. Onlookers reported seeing people wearing “Team Groom” and “Team Bride” T-shirts.
Venus confirmed her engagement to Preti in July, one year after the pair were initially romantically linked in July 2024. Since then, the couple has kept their relationship out of the spotlight, though the tennis player has referred to the actor-producer on occasion.
During a post-match interview on July 22, 2025, Venus shared, “My fiancé is here, and he really encouraged me to keep playing.”
Her sister Serena, 44, has also alluded to the nuptials. She previously opened up to PEOPLE about how she was supporting the multi-Grand Slam champion with “so much planning,” which presumably related to the wedding.
“We talk every day now because we have so much going on,” Serene told PEOPLE in September. “Well, let me rephrase that. Venus has so much planning that she’s doing that I’m just talking to her all the time.”

She shared that her sister would ask her, ” ‘Can you help me arrange this? Can you call?,’ ” and added that she’s known as “the person that gets things done.”
“She wanted me to help her with some dresses, or was it hairstyles?” Serena recalled. “She wanted literally 14 hairstyles — and she was like, ‘What do you think?’ So she sent me her options and within 30 minutes I had them not only done, but in a PDF file what hairstyle looked best on everyone.”
“I’m the person that arranges things, I’m like the planner. I plan everything like the event,” Serena emphasized. “I’m the person that gets things done.”
