Hugh Grant is asleep, actually.
Though a first set tiebreak in a quarterfinal match of the world’s oldest tennis tournament is typically an edge-of-your-seat experience, the Love Actually actor seemingly saw the Wimbledon 2025 moment as an opportunity to catch a few Zs.
During the July 9 matchup between 24-time Grand Slam champ Novak Djokovic and Italian Flavio Cobolli, Hugh sat in the Royal Box behind King Charles III’s wife Queen Camilla with his arms by his sides and head down to give his eyes a break from watching the contest.
As the camera cut to snoozin’ Hugh, ESPN’s Chris Fowler asked his commentating partner John McEnroe, “Is he with us?”
The tennis legend responded, “Looks like he could use a little wake up call. It’s a tiebreaker, tell him. Long way to go,” as the pair chuckled.
While Chris and John had some fun with the faux pas, the duo weren’t the only ones to catch the 64-year-old asleep, including one fan who was slightly less enthused.
